Hey Dan is a new initiative, created in memory of Dan, someone loved and missed. This is our commitment to honour his life through meaningful action. We wish we had one more moment, one more conversation, one more chance to simply say, “hey, are you okay?”
We know that conversations around mental health, especially for men, are still too often hidden. Suicide remains the single leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK. Yet every number represents someone’s brother, someone’s father, someone’s uncle, someone’s best friend.
Someone who mattered.
Hey Dan encourages us all to say Hey.
To our brothers.
To our fathers.
To our uncles.
To our friends.
To ourselves.
Because reaching out could save a life.
Hey Dan is about creating space for everyone to feel seen, supported, and able to speak up. No shame. No silence. Just connection, care, and community.
We’re at the beginning of building this initiative, and we’ll be sharing more soon. If you’d like to stay part of the journey, collaborate, or offer support, we’d love to hear from you.
Until then, if there’s someone you haven’t checked in on lately, say hey.
Hey Dan - For him. For you. For all of us.
